CHARLESTON -- John H. Tinney of Charleston recently was elected President of the West Virginia Bar Foundation.

The Bar Foundation is the philanthropic organization for West Virginia's legal profession and justice system.

Tinney is a former President of the West Virginia State Bar which requires all lawyers to be members to practice law in West Virginia. He previously has been elected to the prestigious American Bar Fellows and the West Virginia Bar Fellows.

A founding member of The Tinney Law Firm, which specializes in trials and appeals, Tinney maintains an active litigation practice.
