CHARLESTON -- A couple is suing a Charleston physician for medical malpractice after they claim the physician deviated from appropriate medical standards.
On Dec. 27, 2007, Randall Yeager was at Thomas Memorial Hospital in the office of Dr. Ahmad Bali, a vascular surgeon.
Because Bali deviated from the appropriate medical standards, he was injured, according to a complaint filed Dec. 22 in Kanawha Circuit Court.
According to a screening certificate by Dr. Michael Golding, Bali failed to see Yeager for almost 10 days post-surgery and that he was prematurely discharged from the hospital.
Yeager claims he has suffered a severe infection that required multiple treatments; great physical pain and suffering; mental anguish and anxiety; and has acquired over $200,000 in medical expenses.
Yeager and his wife, Linda Yeager, are seeking compensatory damages for medical malpractice and Mrs. Yeager's loss of consortium. They are being represented by George A. Daugherty of Daugherty Law Office.
The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Tod J. Kaufman.
