* The plaintiff, a Penn. business, is suing the defendants, a Jackson County business and its president, for breach of contract in failing to provide proper title to a 2006 Loadmax Trailer sold by the plaintiff at an auction to a third party. Along with unspecified damages, court costs and attorney fees, they are seeking declaratory judgment for Hatfield to provide his driver's license information.

* The plaintiff, a Ripley resident, is suing the defendant, a Ravenswood resident, for defamation when Benson on Aug. 11 provided false information to law enforcement accusing Sanchez of battery. The charge was dismissed in March when a witness came forward disputing the allegation. He seeks $5,000 compensatory and $5,000 punitive damages.
