CHARLESTON -- At the 124th annual meeting of the West Virginia Bar Association, William J. Powell, manager of Jackson Kelly's Martinsburg office, was elected to serve on the Executive Council of the organization.
Formed in 1886, the West Virginia Bar Association is one of the oldest voluntary bar associations in the country, and Jackson Kelly has a long history of service. Nine presidents have been from the firm -- most recently, Stephen R. Crislip who just stepped down.
Jackson Kelly represents leading global corporations, national companies, entrepreneurs and individuals in areas of law such as environmental, business, labor and employment, federal and state workers' compensation, civil litigation and occupational safety and health. The firm has offices in West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Colorado and the District of Columbia.
