CHARLESTON - A Huntington resident has won a free divorce from a contest that was provided by the Webb Law Firm in Charleston.

This was the Free Valentine's Day Divorce contest's fourth year and Huntington resident Loretta T. was chosen as the winner.

"What we were most impressed with was her creative and humorous description of her husband," said Charleston attorney Charles "Rusty" Webb. "Ms. T. was ecstatic when she learned this morning that she was the winner."

Webb said he does the free Valentine's Day divorce as a public service for the many people who are unhappily married.

The Webb Law Firm gives away a free divorce to the person whom they consider most worthy based upon the compelling story they make via Internet application to the firm's Web site.

The free divorce was limited to an uncontested, no-fault divorce with no or minimal child custody issues.

While the service is free, the winner will be responsible for all fees, costs and expenses associated with the divorce.
