PERSONNEL FILE: Spilman adds MSHA/OSHA lawyer

CHARLESTON -— The law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle has announced that Dennise R. Smith has rejoined its Charleston office as a senior attorney. Smith's practice will focus on workplace safety issues.

Smith regularly represents employers on MSHA and OSHA matters. She also represents clients before state safety agencies regarding regulatory requirements, citations and orders, and accident and special investigations. She is experienced in all phases of litigation, including management of document and electronic discovery issues.

Smith is a former administrative law judge for the West Virginia Unemployment Compensation Appeals Board. She received her bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, and her law degree from West Virginia University, and she is admitted to practice in West Virginia and California.
