CHARLESTON -- "The Law Works" will conduct a special one-hour live call-in show about family law on Thursday, April 12 beginning at 8 p.m.
Viewers may call a toll-free number to speak with host Dan Ringer or his guest J. Douglas Crane about any topic under family law.
The number to call is 1-800-375-4049. Phones will be answered beginning at 8 p.m. and ending a few minutes before 9 p.m.
"I love doing these call-in shows," Ringer said. "The questions are always interesting, and the topics discussed are relevant to so many people. I'm looking forward to another successful program."
"The Law Works" is the state's only weekly television show discussing legal issues that affect the lives of every day citizens. The program has been a Thursday night staple since 1998 and has considered issues ranging from how to buy a house, to the relevance of marriage in the 21st Century. "The Law Works" provides information concerning our legal system from a national, regional and local perspective.
Ringer operates his own law practice in Morgantown. He received is law
degree from West Virginia University in 1976.
Crane is one of two practitioners at the law firm of J. Douglas Crane,
L.C. in Morgantown, where the practice concentrates in the areas of
family law and bankruptcy. The practice also includes civil and family
mediation. Crane is also a state certified divorce mediator.
Crane graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law in 1972, and has been in private practice since then. He is a member of the West Virginia State Bar and has been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for both the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Professional memberships include the West Virginia Trial Lawyers
Association and the Monongalia County Bar Association, serving as
president from 1991 through 1992.
